More than 12 million households in Germany are currently unable to make their own decisions about their TV connection. They are “forcibly wired”. This means that you pay for your TV reception at additional costs. Next year this will change. Because then the law change means that everyone can decide on the television connection themselves. Anyone who does nothing will face a black TV screen from the summer of 2024. Bettina Bellmer from Waipu.tv explains why the change is a good thing and what those affected should do now.
